FAQs
The OK&CO. Story
OK&CO. was founded by Zo Blatch-Klapas in 2022. Zo was adamant that she would use modern cloth nappies for her son, Master OK, however, occasionally she really needed to use disposable nappies. After trying every eco-friendlier, toxic-free disposable option available, she realised none of those nappies were reliable, so she’d need to make her own, and that’s where the idea for OK&CO. was born.
Since then, Zo has been on a mission to create products that are better for bums and our planet to ensure parents and carers have a one-stop-shop for eco-friendlier, toxic-free, cruelty-free and vegan-friendly nappies and products for their families.
How is OK&CO. ‘better for bums and our planet’?
OK&CO. is a strong advocate of a plastic-free, toxic-free, cruelty-free, vegan friendly + proactive reduce/reuse/recycle lifestyle, + our goal is to protect bums + our planet and to improve on this every year.
We have spent the years since the idea for OK&CO. was born, developing + testing sustainable solutions + are proud to have created a range of beautiful, reliable, eco-friendlier, plant-based products that are cruelty free, vegan friendly + free from chlorine, latex, synthetic dyes, toxic chemicals + perfumes. We also use vegetable-based dyes for printing on all OK&CO. products + packaging.
We are committed to improving + identifying even more eco-friendly materials and sustainable solutions for your family + our planet for the years to come.
OK&CO. Nappies are toxic free, more than 70% plant based, more than 70% biodegradable, contain a 100% cotton back sheet and a cotton blend top sheet. This goes a long way to reducing the more than 100,000 tonnes of solid waste that traditional disposable nappies create in Australia alone each year.
Ingredients: We use cotton, FSC-certified wood pulp, Non-GMO corn starch + starch-based elements. For top reliability + performance, we still use a very small amount of polyethylene (PE) in the frontal tape + tabs (else they won't stick) + a little Lycra around the legs to keep them leak free, but don't worry, none of these ingredients actually touch your baby's soft skin! We're always working on getting our napppies to 100% plant-based, but we also know we need to make sure our nappies keep your baby dry without leaks, so we're making the move slowly so you'll always have reliable nappies from us. You don't have to compromise on performance + reliability with OK&CO.
OK&CO. Wipes are 100% plant based (bamboo), compostable, Certified OECD311 (anaerobic biodegradability) and will break down even without oxygen within 60 days (including in landfill).
Ingredients: 99.8% Pure New Zealand Water and 0.2% Natural Soybean Amino Acid … and Nothing Else!!
OK&CO. Nappy Bin Bags are plant-based, 100% compostable and 100% biodegradable.
OK&CO. Tote Bags are 100% organic cotton.

Sizing and Quantity
Q: How do I know which size nappies I’ll need to order?
A: As a brand-new startup, we have only launched with the basic sizes below just for starters. In time, we will bring out a size zero, a premie nappy and a few pull up sizes for your bigger kids.
Q: How do I know how many nappies I’ll need to order?
A: Your nappy requirements really depend on your little one; however, our most popular combination is the 3/2 bundle (3 packs of nappies + 2 packs of wipes) delivered every 2 weeks. For newborn babies, the average nappy use is about 6.5 nappies per day and this number decreases as your children get older.
Q: How long do your nappies keep bums dry?
A: With a huge absorbency per nappy of approximately 900ml of liquid, our nappies are designed and proven to soak up everything for up to 12 hours.
Where are OK&CO. products made?
Our nappy and wipes manufacturer is based in New Zealand. They produce our 100% bamboo wipes in their off-grid factory in New Zealand.
Our nappies are made from pure cotton, FSC-certified wood pulp, non-GMO corn starch and tissue paper. These raw materials are sourced from a host of different countries, then sent to our New Zealand manufacturer’s partner factory in China where the nappies are assembled.
The machinery capable of producing our premium eco-friendlier nappies is currently only found in China, though we are collaborating with our Australian and New Zealand partners to bring this technology to Australia and/or New Zealand.
Our plant based, home compostable Nappy Bin Bag manufacturer and our 100% organic cotton Tote Bag manufacturer are both also located in China.
Compostability, Biodegradability and Recyclability
Q: How should I recycle OK&CO. packaging?
A: Our goal is a zero-waste economy, so we’ve chosen to use kraft paper packaging for our nappies that will biodegrade in your home compost, or you can place it into your kerbside recycling bin.
Our plant based, compostable nappy bin bags can be placed in your home compost, or if you prefer to re-use, then they can be repurposed as bin liners.
Our wipes packs should be recycled wherever you return your soft plastics.
Lastly, our cardboard boxes can be reused for storage or for kids’ play time, then placed in with your kerbside recycling bin when you no longer need them.
Q: How long do OK&CO. products take to biodegrade?
A: OK&CO. nappies are more than 70% plant based and 70% biodegradable. We are working on getting our plant based percentages higher, but we have to do it slowly and carefully so as to make sure our nappies are always reliable. We’ve heard you – it doesn’t matter how biodegradable the nappies are if they leak.
Based on our degradation testing, 75% of our nappies had completely biodegraded within 5 months. The remaining 25% is our leg cuffs, tabs, and part of the frontal tape that currently requires PE (polyethylene) for strength and flexibility. Our goal is a completely plant based nappy for you, but again, this takes time and must be done slowly to ensure you have reliable nappies during the process.
Q: How do I give my OK&CO. products the best chance to biodegrade in landfill?
A: For our nappies to biodegrade in the fastest possible time, we need you to dispose of your OK&CO. products without enclosing them in plastic. We offer compostable nappy bin bags with our subscriptions, which are a perfect way to dispose of our products. Simply empty number 2s into the toilet and flush, then place the nappies inside our compostable nappy bin bags and place these loose inside your kerb side bin.
All compostable items are biodegradable, but not all biodegradable products are compostable, so there is much confusion and misunderstanding between sustainability, biodegradability and compostability.
A notable difference is that biodegradable products are typically made from sustainable materials and plant by-products such as corn starch or sugar cane, and break down into carbon dioxide, water vapour and organic materials which aren't harmful to the environment, while compostable products leave behind a single organic material called humus. Items simply listed as biodegradable cannot be placed in your compost.
Shipping
Q: Where do you ship to?
A: We currently ship Australia-wide.
Q: How long will it take for my order to reach me?
A: Our shipments take roughly 3-8 business days for metro areas and 3-10 business days for regional areas. Due to Covid-19, there are often delays that are out of our control. If you require products by a certain day, we suggest placing your order a few days earlier just to be safe.
Orders placed on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays are generally collected by the courier on the following business day. For example, if you place an order on a Friday, the courier will collect it for shipment on the following Monday, unless that Monday falls on a public holiday.
Returns & Exchanges
No return for a refund is possible if the products have been opened, unless the product is proven to be faulty. If the product is faulty, it must be returned within 7 days of the customer receiving the delivery. If the order has been sent incorrectly by OK&CO. based on the customer’s chosen order, we will replace this with the correct items, as long as the product has not been opened, mistreated or used and we have been notified within 7 days of receipt of the order.
If the customer has made an error with their order such as choosing the incorrect size nappies, it will be at OK&CO.’s discretion whether the stock will be replaced or not. Due to nappies being a sanitary item, OK&CO. must be certain that the product has not been tampered with after delivery to the customer for the safety of other customers who could receive this stock at a later date if returned to us.
Any bags or boxes opened will not be replaced and any stock returned to OK&CO. will be checked first before any commitment to replacing the stock for a different size is confirmed. If the customer would like to return the stock for replacement for a different size, the customer must pay for freight costs for the stock to be returned to our warehouse and if we approve the replacement after checking the stock, the customer must also pay for the freight costs for the new stock to be sent.
If a refund is applicable such as for faulty products, it will be processed promptly, and payment made by the same method that the customer made original payment. Refund payments may take up to 7 business days to be received. Refunds are made at the discretion of OK&CO.
Our returns policy is as follows:
Change of mind after order - we require a 12 hour notice period for any changes to your order. Unfortunately, once your order has been processed, we are unable to make changes or offer a refund.
If the incorrect size has been delivered in our error - please contact us and we will immediately rectify this by despatching the correct size to you, at our cost.
If the incorrect size has been delivered in your error - we require a 12 hour notice period (during business days) for any changes to your order. Unfortunately, once your order has been processed and delivered, we are unable to offer a refund or replacement.
