Both cotton + bamboo have their pros + cons when it comes to eco nappies, so what made us choose cotton in the end? Well, after testing all the different ways we could make disposable eco nappies + all the different materials, cotton just happened to be the clear winner. We had to go with the evidence right in front of us.

Wetness indicators in disposable nappies contain a dye that changes color when exposed to moisture. The dye itself is typically made of a combination of acids, such as citric acid, sodium hydroxide + other materials such as phenol, formaldehyde + glycerin. Aside from the dye, the indicators are made from a combination of sodium polyacrylate, sodium polyacrylate-based copolymers + polyvinyl alcohol.
